Born and raised in Illinois, Holly Ekwejunor-Etchie is a Chicago-based artist working in painting, drawing and mixed media. Ambiguous figures are a frequent centerpiece of her work, often solo or woven within whimsical landscapes. These figures are largely created through a constant reworking process, with several layers of varying line, rich color and texture in each piece.
Holly received her BFA in Painting from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign.
